隱私權政策 Privacy Policy

This privacy policy describes how we handle your personal information. We collect, use, and share personal information to help the Taiwan Community of Foreingers website (“TCOF”) work and to keep it safe (details below). This policy is effective Sep. 1, 2009.

Collection - Information posted on TCOF is obviously publicly available. Our servers are located in Taiwan, R.O.C. Therefore, if you choose to provide us with personal information, you are consenting to the transfer and storage of that information on our servers in Taiwan. We collect and store the following personal information:

• email address, physical contact information, and (depending on the service used) sometimes financial information;
• computer sign-on data, statistics on page views, traffic to and from TCOF and ad data (all through cookies – you can take steps to disable the cookies on your browser although this is likely to affect your ability to use the site);
• other information, including users' IP address and standard web log information.

Use - We use users’ personal information to:

• provide our services
• resolve disputes, collect fees, and troubleshoot problems;
• encourage safe trading and enforce our policies;
• customize users’ experience, measure interest in our services, improve our services and inform users about services and updates;
• communicate marketing and promotional offers to you according to your preferences;
• do other things for users as described when we collect the information.

Disclosure - We don’t sell or rent users’ personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes without users' explicit consent. We may disclose personal information to respond to legal requirements, enforce our policies, respond to claims that a posting or other content violates other’s rights, or protect anyone’s rights, property, or safety. We may also share personal information with:

• corporate affiliates who help detect and prevent potentially illegal acts and provide joint services. (Our corporate affiliates will market only to users who ask them to).
• service providers who help with our business operations.

Communication and email tools - You agree to receive marketing communications from us unless you tell us that you prefer not to receive such communications. If you don't wish to receive marketing communications from us, simply indicate your preference by following directions provided with the communication. You may not use our site or communication tools to harvest addresses, send spam or otherwise breach our Terms of Use or Privacy Policy. We may automatically scan and manually filter email messages sent via our communication tools for malicious activity or prohibited content, but we do not permanently store such messages. If you use our tools to send content to a friend, we don't permanently store your friends' addresses or use or disclose them for marketing purposes. Access, Modification, and Deletion - You can see, modify or erase most of your personal information by reviewing and modifying your posting or account status page, by signing on to "My TCOF," or by contacting customer support (admin@esldewey.com.tw) to review any personal information we store that is not available on TCOF. There may be a charge associated with such requests but these will not exceed the amounts permitted by law. We delete personal information when we no longer need it for the purposes we described earlier. We retain personal information as permitted by law to resolve disputes, enforce our policies, and prevent bad guys from coming back. Security - We use lots of tools (encryption, passwords, physical security) to protect your personal information against unauthorized access and disclosure, but as you probably know, nothing’s perfect, so we make no guarantees.

General - We may update this policy at any time, with updates taking effect when you next use the site or after 30 days, whichever is sooner. If we or our corporate affiliates are involved in a merger or acquisition, we may share personal information with another company, but this policy will continue to apply. 隱私權政策茲說明本公司處理您個人資料之方式。為協助外國人的台灣社群網站（下稱「 TCOF」）運作並確保其安全性（詳情如下），本公司將收集、使用及分享個人資料，換言之，杜威海外教育顧問有限公司 本身及透過其子公司即為您個人資料之「資訊控管人」。本政策自〔2009年9月1日〕生效。

資料收集 - TCOF 網站上所張貼之資料絕對屬於公開資料。本公司之主機伺服器位於台灣，故當您選擇提供個人資料予本公司時，即表示同意該資料將移轉並儲存於本公司位於台灣之伺服器。本公司收集並儲存下列個人資料：

• 電子郵件地址及具體聯絡資料，本公司並將（視被使用之服務而定）收集財務資料；
• 電腦登錄資訊、網頁瀏覽總數、往返 Kijiji 網站之通訊量及廣告資訊之相關數據資料（上開資料皆係透過cookies收集及儲存--您得取消您瀏覽器上之cookies，惟如此可能影響您對本網站之使用）；
• 其他資料，包括使用者網路位址及標準的網路登錄資料

使用 - 本公司將按下列目的使用使用者之個人資料：

• 提供本公司服務；
• 解決爭議、收取費用及解決問題；
• 鼓勵安全交易及執行本公司政策；
• 調整使用者經驗、衡量使用者對本公司服務之興趣、提升本公司之服務，並將服務及更新資料告知使用者；
• 依照您的偏好，將行銷及促銷優惠資料告知您；
• 為使用者辦理本公司收集資料時所述之事宜。

個人資料之揭露 - 本公司未經使用者明確同意以前不會出租或出售使用者之個人資料予第三人供其行銷用。但為符合法律規定、執行本公司政策，他人主張張貼之資料或其他內容違反他人權利而本公司需提出回應，或為保護任何人之權利、財產或安全時，本公司可能會揭露相關之個人資料。本公司亦得與下列單位分享個人資料：

• 協助偵查、預防可能屬非法行為，並共同提供服務之本公司關係企業（本公司關係企業將僅向要求其提供行銷服務之使用者提供行銷服務）。
• 協助本公司營運之服務提供者。

訊息與電子郵件工具 - 您同意收到本公司所發送之行銷訊息，除非您已告知您不欲收到該等訊息。如果您不願意收到本公司所寄發之行銷訊息，請逕依該訊息之指示，告知我們您的偏好。您不得利用本網站或訊息工具截取電子郵件地址、寄發垃圾郵件或其他違反本公司使用條款或隱私權政策之行為。本公司有權自動掃瞄並以人工篩選自本公司訊息工具所發出之電子郵件，以檢測惡意行為或禁制內容，但我們不永久保存該等訊息。若您利用我們的工具傳送郵件給您的朋友，我們並不永久保存您的朋友的電子郵件信箱地址，或揭露該等地址以達行銷目的。欲回報其他使用者之垃圾郵件，請逕洽客戶服務〔admin@esldewey.com.tw〕。

行銷 - 若您不想收取本公司之行銷訊息，您可寄電子郵件至 admin@esldewey.com.tw 告知本公司。

取用、變更及刪除 - 您可藉由檢視或變更您所張貼之訊息或您帳戶狀態頁面，以查看、變更或刪除您大部分的個人資料。您欲檢視由本公司儲存但無法在TCOF網站上直接查詢之任何個人資料時，請登入TCOF的個人管理區或逕洽客戶服務部〔 admin@ esldewey.com.tw 〕。本公司不再需要按上開目的使用個人資料時，將刪除該資料。本公司亦將按法律允許範圍保留個人資料，以解決爭議、執行本公司政策，及防止不肖份子重訪本網站。如果您有其他疑問，請聯絡客戶服務部〔admin@esldewey.com.tw〕。

一般條款 - 本公司得隨時更新本政策，更新版於您下次使用網站或本公司更新後卅日生效，視孰者在先。倘本公司或本公司關係企業涉及合併或併購者，本公司得與其他公司分享個人資料，惟本政策將持續適用之。若您對本政策若有疑問時，請逕恰admin@esldewey.com.tw
